rules For All Infinity Radio Staff If you have what it takes to be a DJ, and you have always wanted to do your own show, there are some things to consider. First of all, you are committing yourself to the slot or slots you choose on the application that you will fill out in your interview with management. You also agree to follow the rules that are set down by Infinity Radio Management, and which are for the good of Infinity Radio staff, supporters and listeners. Please bear in mind that, even if you are simulcasting, we take into account only your behavior at this station should any action be taken in the event any of these rules are violated. Below is a list of the rules for broadcasting on Infinity Radio. Please note that enforcement of these rules is based on a three strikes basis. the first time may be a misunderstanding, the second time is a warning, and the third time you're out. this especially goes for the no-drama rule and the attendance rule.

  1. First and foremost, absolutely no drama is tolerated on this station. This includes, but is not limited to, bashing or harassing of other staff members, listeners and supporters, creating false stories to get one’s way inside or outside the station, being disrespectful or discourteous to staff members, listeners and supporters of Infinity, and bringing outside affairs and dirty laundry to the station in any way. Sometimes the case is not cut and dry, so we do want to hear both sides. However, if it is found that said staff member is causing drama with another staff member or another listener, etc. etc., that person will be removed and banned from Infinity Radio and will not be able to broadcast for our station again. If a staff member of Infinity Radio, or Infinity radio as a whole is attacked or slandered by Instant message, email, broadcast, or any other medium, it is acceptable and understandable for that party or parties to defend themselves especially when the statement holds no basis for fact. If you want to make the listeners aware of this, that is permissible. However, please keep all on-air discussion of the situation in question to a minimum. If discussion of the situation on air is excessive, management will need to step in and help the staff member(s) form another plan of action. Each slanderous incident against a staff member of the station can be handled on a per incident basis.

  2. Before applying to be a staff member of Infinity Radio, please make sure that you have a reliable internet connection and an effective antivirus and spyware removal program that work for you. This assures that the listener will get nonstop programming on your show. It will also keep the listeners coming back for more if they know that we can provide twenty-four hour, 7 day programming.

  3. Any applicant who would like to be a dj with Infinity Radio must meet one of these requirements; The applicant must be 17 years of age or older, or if the applicant is below 18 years of age, he or she must have adult supervision and/or be vouched for by a trustworthy adult. Any applicant who is under 18 must put the name, number and messenger/skype info of the adult who will be supervising them on the application. Failure to do so will result in automatic rejection of the application.

  4. If a staff member is unable to make a show or shows for any reason, please contact the listeners' list if you can. However, if you are unable to do that, please find a way to get word to management through any reliable means at your disposal as soon as you know that you cannot make a show. Things do happen and people get in traffic jams, last minute internet outage and other things of that nature; however, if you know you’re not going to be able to show up, please let us know in any way which is convenient for you. If a dj is in too much pain to broadcast, a tweet, mood message or any other short message given in a way that's convenient for them and gets the message across will suffice for notification. Otherwise, it messes up the schedule and listeners won’t want to listen if they know the show they were interested in will only be on sporadically. If a dj does not show up three times, and they could have done something to prevent those absences, the dj will be terminated from the station. We will try to be fair, but if it appears that a dj is taking advantage, management and the dj will need to discuss this and come up with a constructive solution.
Also, the scheduled show may not cut into another broadcaster's show. The three strikes policy will be implemented if this rule is violated.

  5. If you want to syndicate or simulcast your show on a station other than infinity, please get the permission of management as well as the permission of the management team of any other station you want to simulcast your show on. Not doing so could create unnecessary problems which wouldn’t have to exist if this is done. Another stipulation is that if the station(s) performs actions which adversely affect our programming, we ask that you do not simulcast with the station or stations because of the fact that this can affect our listnership and the smooth flow of Programming on Infinity Radio. Anybody who has informed management that they have approval and it is found that they do not have that approval will be terminated.

  6. We would prefer that you archive your shows for the enjoyment of other staff and listeners. You can do so by dropbox, sendspace or any other method as long as you can use it and it is usable for listeners and staff. Also, if you have found a new method for archiving, please let us know how it works. It could be very useful, and, as we’re always trying to improve,it could take the place of something that doesn’t work as well.

  7. Important!: If you are planning to play adult content in your shows, it is mandatory that you play an adult content advisory or at least mention that this show has adult content at the beginning of your show. Failure to do so will result in a warning the first two times it happens and termination the third time.

  8. All staff must use a messenger, be it skype, Msn or Windows Live Messenger, or something that is used by a wide variety of people. This is so that your listeners can communicate with you during the show. You can use your personal messenger, or you can create a messenger specifically for your use with Infinity Radio. It doesn’t matter as long as you keep the lines of communication open. Failure to use one of these messengers or failure to keep that messenger online (unless you are having technical difficulties or the like and let the listeners know) will result in a warning for the first offense and termination for the next offense, since it shows you are not interested in communicating with the listeners.

  9. If you have a problem with a staff member or listener, please talk to them first. If you cannot work out your differnces, please bring the other person with you to mediate with management to resolve your differences. Absolutely do not talk to management alone behind the other person’s back and create more drama.

  10. If you need to take a break from broadcasting or something comes up that will take your time and commitment, please come to us. We are reasonable people. Let us kno wwhen you are done and want to come back to Infinity Radio. Also, please keep one reliable method of communication current so we can keep in touch with you. If you need to leave and re-apply to Infinity Radio, that is fine. However, if it happens more than three times in a year, for example, Management will have to deny your application, since it shows that you are not committed to broadcasting.

  11. Please come to us if you should have any questions. Management (the Batman and Lady Rebel) have been new broadcasters before and we know what it’s like to wonder how you broadcast and whether or not you’ll screw up. Also if any of you are having tech support problems, please come to us and we’ll try to rectify it. Really it doesn’t matter what you have questions or concerns about; we are here to help!

  12. And most importantly, have fun and be creative! Your show is uniquely yours. If you have friends that want to listen, give them the listen links. And broadcasting should be about fun, so if you want to do something wild and wacky during your broadcasting, within reason of course, go right ahead!

If you have completed the application and are still confused, please write management, and we will discuss any questions you may have.
